Hookin2Hockey gives children up to 9 years of age the opportunity to learn the
basic skills of hockey and develop fundamental motor skills - all while having fun and making friends!
Their lifelong love of hockey begins here!
The program involves 6 skills sessions (run over 6 weeks) followed 14 weeks of modified games (playing according to their age group - U5's, U7's and U9's.
Hook In 2 Hockey is a fantastic starting point for many young players, with only a small time commitment from families.
Sessions are conveniently held in the same location each week, with our season starting on TBA.
- Location: Ipswich Hockey Association, Briggs Road, Raceview (entrance via Huxham Street)
- Time: Saturdays - 8:30 am to 9.30 am

Cost for 2024
- $39.81 - to Queensland Hockey (paid at time of registration and also covers insurance)
- PLUS the discounted IHA fee of $50 (paid to your club) which is a one-off payment to cover all program costs for the entire season.
- All participants can join the fun at the end-of-season carnival!
Uniforms
Wests Hookin2Hockey players receive a club shirt to keep and wear each week. Participants are asked to also wear the following:
- Black shorts/skirts
- Black football socks (or Wests club socks)
- Shin pads
- Hat
Please bring a water bottle and apply sunscreen before arriving at the grounds.
Further club apparel is available to purchase for Mini Magpies, such as:
- Club socks - $14
- Bucket hats - $17

Hookin2Hockey Registration
- The cost will be $39.81 which is paid online at the time of registration and covers the player registration and insurance.

- PLEASE NOTE: This program is an introduction to hockey and is a non -competitive hockey program.
- PLEASE NOTE: Returning members are to select "RENEW" and those new to hockey are to select "REGISTER".
IF YOU ARE CHANGING CLUBS PLEASE NOTE: If you have previously played Hook in2 Hockey and registered with an Under 10 registration in previous years DO NOT complete registration until you have contacted your previous club to request a written clearance. Once received please forward your written clearance to secwests@hotmail.com . Wests Club Registrar will contact you to advise when to complete the 2024 online registration.
